Dassault Falcon 900EX | Wikipedia

With a net worth exceeding $200 million and numerous sponsorship deals, Formula One driver Max Verstappen travels the world in his Dassault Falcon 900EX private jet. The aircraft is noted for its unique livery, featuring a matte black finish with bright orange detailing. Its registration is PH-DTF, which stands for 'Down To Fly', and bears Verstappen's personal logo, MV33.

The Falcon 900EX was originally built in 2008 and previously owned by Sir Richard Branson of the Virgin Group before Verstappen acquired it in 2020 for a reported $15 million. It was initially registered as VT-CAP and later changed to M-VGAL under Branson's ownership.

Manufactured by Dassault Aviation, the Falcon 900EX is equipped with improved engines, an extended range of up to 4,500 nautical miles, and an all-glass flight deck. It features three Honeywell TFE731-60 engines that produce 5,000 pounds of thrust each. The aircraft has been praised for its short runway performance and fuel efficiency.

Inside the cabin, the jet can accommodate up to 12 passengers with various amenities including plush leather seats arranged in a double club configuration, a fully equipped galley, noise-cancellation technology, Wi-Fi connectivity, and an advanced entertainment system. Despite rumors suggesting otherwise, there is no racing simulator on board.

Verstappen's busy schedule means he likely uses his jet for over 450 hours annually. Operating costs are significant; variable costs amount to approximately $2.24 million while fixed costs are around $939 thousand per year.

The aircraft frequently travels between locations such as Geneva, London, Milan, Montreal, São Paulo as well as Amsterdam where Verstappen hails from. It is operated by Exxaero under Mavic Aviation Sàrl of Luxembourg.

Max Verstappen became the youngest driver to compete in Formula One at age 17 in 2015 and has since won multiple championships. Known for sharing his private jet with fellow drivers like Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris during trips across continents—such as one spanning over 9,000 miles within just 24 hours—Verstappen remains one of the most highly paid athletes today according to Forbes.
