Glasgow Airport, the second busiest in Scotland after Edinburgh, has revealed its longest routes for 2025. The airport handled 7.4 million passengers in 2023, recovering well from the pandemic's impact. Using data from Cirium, an aviation analytics company, these routes highlight Glasgow's connectivity to various destinations.

The tenth longest route is to Larnaca, Cyprus, at a distance of 2,305 miles. "This year, 236 flights are scheduled on the route between Glasgow and Larnaca," with easyJet and Jet2 sharing operations using Airbus A320s and Boeing 737-800s respectively.

Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt ranks ninth at 2,714 miles. "Unlike the route to Larnaca, the corridor from Glasgow Airport to Sharm El Sheikh International is only served by a single airline," TUI Airways operates this route with Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.

Dubai follows as the fifth longest route at 3,633 miles. Emirates uses its Airbus A380 for daily flights between Dubai and Glasgow.

Melbourne Orlando International Airport in Florida is fourth at a distance of 4,117 miles. TUI Airways operates this long-haul service mainly with Boeing 787-8 aircraft.

Bridgetown in Barbados is third at a distance of 4,144 miles. TUI flies its Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners on this winter sun getaway route.

La Romana International Airport in the Dominican Republic ranks second at a distance of 4,188 miles. TUI Airways has limited services planned for this Caribbean destination.

Finally, Cancun International Airport in Mexico tops the list as Glasgow's longest route at an impressive distance of "4,741 miles." TUI operates all flights on this corridor using Boeing 787-8 aircraft from May to December.

These routes illustrate Glasgow Airport's extensive reach across Europe and beyond into Africa and North America.
