Federal Express Corporation (FedEx) has announced the expansion of its FedEx International Connect Plus (FICP) service in Malaysia. This service, which is already available to e-tailers in the Asia Pacific region, now offers Malaysian e-tailers a reliable and cost-effective shipping solution to key destinations in the U.S. and Europe.

The expansion aligns with FedEx's commitment to supporting cross-border e-commerce growth from Asia to these regions. As Malaysia's e-commerce market is expected to reach approximately USD 15 billion by 2027, this initiative addresses the increasing demand for diversified shipping solutions among Malaysian e-tailers. Government initiatives such as the National eCommerce Strategic Roadmap and Digital Free Trade Zones have been crucial in empowering local SMEs and facilitating cross-border trade.

Key benefits of FICP include competitive day-definite transits, flexibility for end customers regarding package pick-up locations, seamless integration with both online and offline shipping automation solutions, and extensive parcel tracking capabilities.

Tien Long Woon, managing director of FedEx Malaysia, stated: "This service enhancement reinforces our commitment to supporting Malaysian SMEs, the backbone of the nation’s economy, by providing a reliable and cost-effective shipping solution tailored to their cross-border needs."

FedEx offers end-to-end e-commerce solutions that simplify order fulfillment for merchants while ensuring convenience for customers. The FICP service combines FedEx's international delivery reliability with customs clearance expertise and features like tracking and flexible delivery options through FedEx Delivery Manager International.

Additionally, FICP provides Picture Proof of Delivery for visual confirmation of deliveries even when recipients are not home.
