El Al Israel Airlines Ltd., the national airline of Israel, operates nearly 50 domestic and international destinations across various continents. The airline's main hub is Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv. El Al's fleet consists entirely of Boeing aircraft, including 51 planes with models such as the 737, 777, and 787 Dreamliners.

The carrier has a total of 16 Boeing 787 Dreamliners: four are the shorter 787-8 model with an average age of 5.1 years, while the remaining twelve are the longer 787-9 model averaging at 6.5 years old. Despite their modernity, these Dreamliners are not heavily utilized on one major route to Barcelona (BCN), Spain. Even though there can be up to two daily flights on this route, only a single flight will use a Boeing 787-9 for the rest of the year.

According to El Al: "As of April 2018, EL AL flies 42 aircrafts (including four of the 16 Dreamliners) to 37 direct destinations around the world and hundreds of connecting destinations. Recently, EL AL launched a new pricing model for Economy Class tickets to all European destinations, which allows passengers to choose from three different price packages to suit their needs. These flights will begin in October 2018."

Data from ch-Aviation indicates that El Al operates its single Boeing 787-9 flight to BCN in March with seating arrangements comprising Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy sections.

El Al plans further expansion over the next five to six years by adding more Boeing 787 aircraft to its fleet.

According to El Al: "Since its establishment as Israel's national airline, EL AL's history has been intertwined with the history of the country as an inseparable narrative. We invite you get to know us as you go through our history and our modern."

Additional routes seeing limited use of El Al’s Boeing Dreamliners include Sofia International Airport (SOF), Phuket International Airport (HKT), Dubai International Airport (DXB), Leonardo da Vinci International Airport (FCO), Athens International Airport (ATH), Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS), and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL).

United Airlines also operates long-haul flights using Boeing Dreamliners between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Melbourne. Meanwhile, Qantas connects Melbourne and Los Angeles using its own fleet of Boeing Dreamliners.

United Airlines announced that it would restart flights to Tel Aviv on March 15 after detailed assessments.

Qantas recently launched an international sale offering discounted fares across numerous global destinations.
