Lufthansa and its subsidiary Eurowings are offering unique travel experiences for those open to a bit of adventure. Lufthansa's "Surprise" program allows passengers to book flights without knowing their destination until after confirmation, with options departing from Frankfurt or Munich. The initiative provides nine themed categories such as "Worth Seeing," "Go East," and "Urban Adventures," each offering different European destinations at competitive prices.

Passengers can select either economy or business class tickets, with various inclusions like baggage options and seating arrangements. All tickets are non-refundable and non-changeable once booked. Lufthansa ensures all flights are direct, requiring a minimum stay of 18 hours at the destination.

Eurowings offers a similar concept through its "Blind Booking" scheme, where travelers choose their departure dates but not the destination. This service is available from several European airports including Berlin, Cologne, and Stockholm. Eurowings' themes include options like "Pizza, Pasta & Amore" and "Concrete Jungles," covering various regions in Europe.

Both programs emphasize flexibility for cost savings, allowing passengers to exclude certain destinations if desired. These initiatives cater to budget-conscious travelers seeking new experiences while maintaining some control over their travel plans.
