Delta Air Lines has announced new flights between Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) and Kansas City International Airport (MCI), scheduled to commence on May 7th. These flights will be operated by Endeavor Air, a regional subsidiary of Delta Connection, using Bombardier CRJ-900 aircraft. Each plane offers 76 seats, including 12 first-class, 20 extra-legroom economy, and 44 standard main cabin seats.
The introduction of this daily service adds to the growing network at both airports. Raleigh-Durham has been a focus city for Delta, while Kansas City has recently seen an increase in flight additions from various airlines. The competition on this route includes Southwest Airlines, which currently operates twice-weekly flights between the two cities.
Endeavor Air is also set to open a new crew base at RDU during the second quarter of 2025. This facility will support expanded operations and is expected to employ between 130 and 170 crew members initially, with plans for future growth as the airline expands its fleet.
