Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) has become a significant hub for Delta Air Lines, especially for its Airbus A220 flights. The airport, located about four miles south of downtown Salt Lake City, Utah, handles over 300 daily departures to various destinations in North America and Europe.

The SLC Airport reported that "SLC is the 23rd busiest airport in the United States and the 86th busiest in the world. More than 330 flights depart daily to 100 nonstop destinations. In 2024, SLC saw a record 28,364,610 passengers travel through the airport."

Delta Air Lines operates a substantial number of flights from SLC using its Airbus A220 aircraft. According to AeroLOPA, "Delta Air Lines has a fleet of forty-five Airbus A220-100 aircraft fitted out in a 12C 97M domestic configuration which includes 15 Comfort+ seats in Economy." Some of Delta's most frequent A220 routes from SLC include Orange County with 112 flights this month and San Jose with nearly as many. The airline also serves Dallas-Fort Worth, Chicago O'Hare, and Boise with multiple weekly flights.

The redevelopment program at SLC is another major development underway. As stated by SLC Airport: "SLC is currently undergoing a $5.1 billion redevelopment program...Phase 4 is scheduled to open by 2026." This extensive project aims to replace outdated facilities and improve efficiency while maintaining cost competitiveness.

Delta's presence at Salt Lake City Airport continues to grow as it expands its network using the Airbus A220s across numerous U.S. cities.
