Ed Bastian, CEO of Delta Air Lines, said that the company will "do everything we can to support them and their families" concerning the recent crash at Toronto Pearson International Airport. Bastian made this statement in a February 18 post on X.

"Our most pressing priority remains taking care of all customers and Endeavor crew members who were involved," said Bastian, CEO of Delta Airlines. "We'll do everything we can to support them and their families in the days ahead, and I know the hearts, thoughts and prayers of the entire Delta community are with them. We are grateful for all the first responders and medical teams who have been caring for them."

According to Delta's post on X, the airline will support passengers and crew members following Monday’s accident involving Delta Connection Flight 4819. While 21 individuals were initially hospitalized, most have been released, indicating positive progress in their recovery. Delta has reaffirmed its commitment to caring for those affected, with Bastian stating that the airline’s "most pressing priority remains taking care of all customers and Endeavor crew members who were involved."

To ensure those impacted receive necessary support, Delta deployed its specialized Care Team to Toronto. These trained representatives are assisting passengers, employees, and their families during this time. Senior leadership from Endeavor Air, which operated the flight, is on-site to provide direct assistance and cooperate fully with investigators. The airline has expressed gratitude for the first responders and medical personnel who quickly attended to the injured.

Operations at Toronto Pearson have resumed, with Delta implementing larger aircraft on two flights to accommodate increased passenger needs. A travel waiver remains in effect to offer flexibility for affected customers, easing travel disruptions in the wake of the incident.

Delta Air Lines is a major U.S. airline headquartered in Atlanta.
