The United States continues to lead the world in private aviation, with nearly 65% of all private jets registered within its borders. According to Shayne Fitz-Coy, CEO of Rustic Pathways, "America flies more private jets than any other country in the world, with a grand total of 3,123,007 departures in the U.S." This article highlights the top ten states for private jet travel based on departures recorded in 2024.

Arizona ranks tenth with 76,178 departures. Scottsdale Airport is a significant contributor to these numbers, accounting for nearly 37% of all state departures. In Tennessee, which saw 84,697 flights last year, Nashville International Airport remains a central hub for private aviation.

New York State recorded 91,678 departures and features Westchester County Airport as a key player in its private aviation landscape. North Carolina closely follows with 91,886 flights despite a decrease from the previous year.

In New Jersey, Teterboro Airport plays a crucial role in the state's 105,821 recorded flights. Colorado had over 107K departures largely due to Centennial Airport's contribution to regional economic impact.

Georgia saw over 110K flights last year with DeKalb-Peachtree Airport being one of its busiest hubs. California stands out with 276,550 flights; Van Nuys Airport is particularly busy serving affluent individuals.

Texas experienced an increase in flight numbers compared to previous years with Dallas Love Field being a prominent airport. Finally, Florida leads the list with 362,632 departures. Palm Beach International Airport is notably active among several other airports across the state.

These findings illustrate America's significant engagement with private aviation and highlight key airports that drive this traffic across various states.
