United Airlines, in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, has established itself as a leading airline in the United States. The airline operates over 1,000 aircraft within its mainline fleet and maintains a network that spans North America and beyond.

The airline's operations are supported by several strategic hubs located at major airports such as Denver International Airport, Chicago O'Hare International Airport, and Los Angeles International Airport. These hubs facilitate the arrival and departure of nearly all United flights.

United's fleet is diverse but heavily features Boeing aircraft models including the 737-700 through MAX 9 series, the 757-200 and -300, various models of the 767 and 777 series, as well as three versions of the Dreamliner: 787-8, -9, and -10. Alongside these are Airbus aircraft like the A319s and A320s which remain integral to United’s flight schedule despite their age.

While each mainland US hub operated by United receives service from Airbus A319s, some destinations experience higher frequencies than others. According to aviation analytics firm Cirium, Denver International Airport currently leads in scheduled A319 flights for United Airlines this month.

"Denver is United's busiest hub," states data from the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. This airport hosts more Airbus A319 operations for United than any other location in its network. In addition to being a significant base for Delta Air Lines and Allegiant with smaller scales of operation using this aircraft type compared to United.

In terms of competition within Denver’s market space, Southwest Airlines and Frontier Airlines also maintain substantial presences; however, "United is Denver's largest carrier." It dominates Concourse B exclusively while occupying much of Concourse A at Denver International Airport.

The route between Denver and Montrose stands out among those served by United’s A319s due to its connection with popular ski destinations during peak season. Competition exists primarily with Southwest on top five routes from Denver like San Jose or St Louis where they dominate certain markets making them formidable competitors against other airlines including American Airlines on select routes such as Dallas/Fort Worth which sees multiple operators vying for passengers' attention without direct rivalry from southwest only found towards Jackson Hole from Mile High City offering unique nonstop service unavailable elsewhere across country-wide networks
