JetBlue is preparing to unveil a new aircraft livery celebrating its presence in Puerto Rico. The airline, which has been serving the island for over two decades, is inviting the public to vote on three proposed designs by local artists. Voting is open until March 1st.

The first design comes from Natalia Nicole of 2BLEENE and pays tribute to Puerto Rico's lush flora. Elizabeth Barretto's design captures the island's beauty both day and night. Juan Gutiérrez from The Stencil Network features a 'Jíbaro' figure as a nod to Puerto Rican identity.

Jayne O'Brien, JetBlue's Head of Marketing and Customer Support, emphasized the significance of this initiative: "We take pride in connecting our customers to and from Puerto Rico, but most importantly, in celebrating the people who make the island so special."

Voting remains open for all interested parties through an online platform. Once a winner is chosen, JetBlue plans to reveal the final design in March and launch it during summer.

JetBlue has recently expanded its operations in Puerto Rico with new routes and a crew base opened last December in San Juan. Governor Jenniffer González expressed appreciation for JetBlue’s dedication: "We appreciate JetBlue's continued commitment to Puerto Rico, now dedicating a second aircraft to showcase our island's distinctive heritage."

The airline already operates an Airbus A320-200 named Bluericua with a special livery honoring Puerto Rico since 2018.
