FedEx has introduced the 'Collaborative Shipping Tool' in South Korea, aiming to streamline import processes and enhance logistics efficiency. This tool is available to all FedEx import customers across regions including Asia Pacific, Europe, the United States, Canada, the Middle East, the Indian subcontinent, and Africa.

The tool allows importers and shippers to jointly prepare air waybills (AWB), simplifying import procedures and boosting global logistics operations. The International Trade Center identifies pickup delays and lack of cargo visibility as major challenges for global importers. These inefficiencies directly impact business operations, highlighting the need for digital solutions like the Collaborative Shipping Tool.

Salil Chari, Senior Vice President of Marketing & Customer Experience for Asia Pacific at FedEx, stated: “As global supply chains become increasingly complex, businesses must adopt smart logistics solutions to remain competitive.” He added that FedEx supports customers in anticipating potential challenges and effectively responding to changing market conditions through digital innovation. "This tool will facilitate smoother collaboration between importers and shippers," he said.

The Collaborative Shipping Tool offers three key benefits: enhanced collaboration flexibility with shippers sharing AWB preparation; improved visibility allowing real-time monitoring of pickups; and an improved user experience with intuitive design for easier use by both importers and shippers.

Park Won-bin, Managing Director of FedEx Korea Branch Office remarked: “FedEx prioritizes customer-centric services. The introduction of this collaborative shipping management tool reflects our efforts to simplify and improve business operations efficiently.”

The new tool integrates with various digital services including FedEx's Import Solutions. Customers can operate their import processes more flexibly while enhancing overall logistics efficiency.
