American Airlines AAdvantage has introduced a new promotion aimed at boosting travelers' Loyalty Points balance for the upcoming status year. In addition, there is a separate promotion to earn a Flagship Lounge pass. While these promotions may not be significant upgrades, they are considered worthwhile, especially for those who have not yet booked any upcoming trips.

### Earn up to 5,000 Loyalty Points by booking March travel

The first offer allows members to earn up to 5,000 additional Loyalty Points on March travel with American Airlines. However, it awards just 500 Loyalty Points "per segment" and caps at "up to 5,000" Loyalty Points. This means travelers would need to fly ten flights in March to maximize the savings. Basic economy fares do not qualify for this offer.

To participate, members must register and book their flights by March 31 via the "Promotions" page of their American Airlines account. The offer applies only to newly booked flights and is valid until the end of March.

### Earn a Flagship Lounge pass

The second promotion offers a one-time Flagship Lounge pass for customers who book and fly first-class, premium economy, or business-class flights in March.

Similar to the first promotion, registration is required before booking eligible flights by March 31. Previously booked flights are excluded from this offer.

American Airlines is set to open a brand-new Flagship Lounge in Philadelphia later this year.

### Conclusion

While these promotions may not be transformative, they are recommended for enrollment if you have yet to book your March travel. It's important to note that the AAdvantage status year ends on Feb. 28, 2025; therefore, any trips taken in March will count toward the 2026 status year.
