This summer marks a significant increase in transatlantic flights, with over 35 passenger airlines operating between the US and Europe. According to Cirium Diio data, there will be up to 635 daily take-offs, the highest number ever recorded.

A total of 40 new and returning routes are being introduced, contributing to the record number of US-Europe flights. These additions are divided into two categories based on each carrier's origin: US airlines will begin 25 routes, while European operators will launch the remaining 15.

Many of these routes build on services that started or restarted in winter 2024/2025 and will continue through the summer. It is noted that an estimated 19 links served last summer will not be flown this year.

- May 1: United Airlines - Denver to Rome Fiumicino

- May 6: American Airlines - Chicago O'Hare to Naples

- May7: Delta Air Lines - Detroit to Dublin

- May16: United Airlines - Newark To Faro

European carriers are also introducing notable routes including two never- served-before connections to Nashville.

Key starts among European carriers include:

- March5 : Discover– Munich-To-Orlando

- March30 : SAS– Oslo-To-New-York-JFK

- April1 : Norse Atlantic– Rome-Fiumicino-To-Los Angeles

- April10 : Icelandair– Keflavik-To-Nashville

This expansion highlights continued robust demand for transatlantic travel as both US and European carriers introduce multiple new markets this summer.
