I’m glad to have them working under a new contract that values their contributions to Alaska. ” He also expressed gratitude towards AFA colleagues who negotiated on behalf of the flight attendants.
Jeff Peterson, President of AFA Alaska Master Executive Council (MEC), said: “This agreement marks a major milestone for Alaska Airlines Flight Attendants. It reflects their essential role in ensuring both safety and operational excellence. ” He added that it would immediately improve their lives while set- ting a foundation for future negotiations related to the merger between Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines.
Effective March 2, 2025, the new contract includes increased pay measures such as boarding pay and market rate adjustments. It also maintains industry-lead- ing work rules with a short duty day length alongside Southwest Airlines. Ad- ditional improvements cover scheduling enhancements and caps on insurance pre- miums.
