Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) has announced the appointment of two new Deputy Executive Directors. Erin M. Trapp, Ph.D., will serve as Deputy Executive Director for Major Events & Strategy, while Courtney Moore takes on the role of Deputy Executive Director for Strategy, Innovation & Experience.

John Ackerman, CEO of Los Angeles World Airports, expressed confidence in the new appointees: "Erin and Courtney bring a deep expertise in building organizations, managing complex projects and leading diverse teams across industries that will be invaluable in these critical leadership positions." He noted their experience would be crucial as LAWA prepares for upcoming major events like the FIFA World Cup in 2026 and the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2028.

Trapp's responsibilities will include overseeing planning and execution for large-scale events at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Van Nuys Airport (VNY). She will also co-lead LAWA's Transformation Office. Previously, Trapp was the Executive Director of Colorado Thrives and Climate Vault.

Moore will focus on transforming airport experiences by driving strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiencies. Her past roles include Assistant Vice President of Terminal Experience at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and leadership positions at NBCUniversal and The Walt Disney Company.

"I am grateful for the opportunity to join the talented and forward-thinking team at LAWA," said Courtney Moore. She aims to create transformative experiences that reflect Los Angeles' diversity.

These appointments are part of LAWA's efforts to enhance its talent pool and position Los Angeles as a premier global destination.
