Europe is predominantly characterized by short-haul air traffic, with its skies frequently traversed by narrowbody aircraft on brief flights. However, certain routes spanning the continent can extend flight times to over six hours. This article examines the ten longest intra-Europe non-stop routes.

According to Cirium, an aviation analytics company, all ten of the longest intra-Europe non-stop routes this March link Spain's Canary Islands with destinations in the Nordic and Baltic regions of northeastern Europe. The Canary Islands, situated off Africa's northwestern coast, are a favored holiday spot for many Europeans. Distance data is sourced from Great Circle Mapper.

10. Vilnius - Gran Canaria: This route connects Vilnius Airport (VNO) in Lithuania with Gran Canaria (LPA), covering 2,743 miles. It is served solely by Latvian flag carrier airBaltic using Airbus A220-300 jets configured with either 145 or 148 seats in a two-class layout. AirBaltic will operate weekly flights throughout March on Saturdays.

9. Riga - Gran Canaria: Originating from Riga International Airport (RIX), this seasonal route covers 2,770 miles and will be serviced twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays by airBaltic throughout March.

8. Vilnius - Tenerife South: Tenerife South Reina Sofía Airport (TFS) sees a connection from Vilnius spanning 2,780 miles. AirBaltic will operate thrice- weekly flights in March on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

7. Riga - Tenerife South: Covering a distance of 2,803 miles between Riga and Tenerife South Reina Sofía Airport (TFS), airBaltic will provide five weekly round trips throughout March.

6. Helsinki - Fuerteventura: Finnish flag carrier Finnair operates this route from Helsinki Vantaa (HEL) to El Matorral Airport (FUE), covering 2,844 miles. Flights are scheduled twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays during March.

5. Tallinn - Gran Canaria: This route spans 2,884 miles between Tallinn Airport (TLL) and Gran Canaria (LPA). AirBaltic will operate bi-weekly flights in March on Thursdays and Sundays.

4. Tallinn - Tenerife South: Connecting Tallinn with Tenerife South over a distance of 2,913 miles; airBaltic has scheduled three weekly flights for March occurring on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
