Spring snowstorm disrupts hundreds of flights at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport

On March 6, 2025, travel plans for spring breakers leaving the Minneapolis–Saint Paul metropolitan area were disrupted as the region received seven inches of snow. According to Flightradar24 data provided to Simple Flying, a total of 76 flights to and from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) were canceled. This included 83 departures and 43 arrivals, representing four percent and five percent of the total flight schedule on March 5 and March 6, respectively.

Delta Air Lines was the most affected carrier with 24 canceled flights, followed by American Airlines with 17 canceled flights and Sun Country Airlines with fifteen. No other airline had more than ten cancellations during this two- day period.

Data from Cirium’s Diio Mi airline planning tool indicated that there were414 one-stop or direct departures and409 one-stop or direct arrivals scheduled for March5. OnMarch6 carriers had443arrivalsand444departuresplanned accordingtoCirium’sDiioMidata.
