Middle Eastern carriers Emirates and Etihad Airways have unveiled a series of special gestures and services for customers partaking in the Holy Month of Ramadan. This will include meal boxes for fasting passengers, specially crafted Ramadan dishes onboard and in lounges, and other initiatives like additional religious content on in-flight entertainment (IFE) systems.

While both Emirates and Etihad Airways have significant global appeal and attract customers from all corners of the globe, a substantial proportion of their clientele adheres to Islam. Therefore, the airlines are taking special measures to cater to their needs during this sacred month.

In 2025, the Holy Month of Ramadan falls between Friday, February 28, 2025, and Saturday, March 29, 2025. For Muslims, the month is a period of heightened religious reflection and practice, usually involving fasting during daylight hours among other practices.
