Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) has announced that its first Airbus A350 aircraft will feature a special livery named ‘SWISS Wanderlust.’ This design highlights the close ties between the airline and Switzerland, incorporating various cultural and historical motifs.

The special livery , created by Swiss artist Frédéric Siegel, is described as a "playful, creative and story-packed homage to Switzerland. " It blends significant structures with famous landmarks and traditional arts and sports events. Each illustration aims to capture facets of Switzerland's places, people, and culture.

"This special livery is our flying declaration of our love for Switzerland," said SWISS Chief Commercial Officer Heike Birlenbach. "It’s a confirmation of how close we feel to our home country; and it’s an invitation to everyone to discover and explore it in all its uniqueness in a playful and creative way. "

This initiative marks the beginning of a new era for SWISS as it introduces ten advanced Airbus A350-900 long-haul twinjets over the coming years. These aircraft are noted for their efficiency and sustainability. The first plane, featuring the ‘SWISS Wanderlust’ livery, is expected to enter service in late summer this year.
