The Lufthansa Group has achieved its target of 25 percent female managers in the first quarter of 2025. This initiative follows the "25by2025" target set by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) six years ago, aimed at improving diversity, equality, and inclusion in the aviation industry. Over 200 aviation companies have committed to this goal.

Michael Niggemann, Member of the Executive Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG responsible for Human Resources & Legal Affairs, said: "We are delighted to have increased the proportion of women in management positions across the Group to over 25 percent. Admittedly, this is still too little - the steps are sometimes small and somewhat laborious, but that is precisely why they are particularly important and necessary. The goal is and remains sustainable development without gender discrimination. "

Niggemann also highlighted significant progress in technology fields and noted that talent promotion programs and guidelines on visibility for female candidates would continue: "We will now continue to consistently pursue the path we have taken... We want to and will exploit the full potential of talented junior staff. "
