The Boeing 787 Dreamliner, a modern marvel in aviation, continues to play a significant role in global air travel as of 2025. Unlike some of its predecessors that are no longer in production, the 787 remains a pivotal part of many airlines' fleets.

As of March 7, 2025, the order backlog for the Boeing 787 stands at several hundred units. This indicates sustained demand from airlines worldwide, seeking to capitalize on the aircraft's fuel efficiency and passenger comfort features.

Major operators of the Boeing 787 include prominent carriers across different continents. In North America, United Airlines and American Airlines are among the largest users. Both have integrated substantial numbers of this jet into their fleets to serve domestic and international routes efficiently.
