IHG Hotels & Resorts is expanding its presence in the United Kingdom by adding eight new properties to its portfolio, stretching from London to Leeds and beyond. The expansion will introduce over 900 rooms across various IHG brands, including Hotel Indigo and Crowne Plaza, building on the more than 360 properties IHG currently operates in the U.K. and Ireland.

"This growth is powered by our strong enterprise which positions IHG as the first choice for owners as well as the guests we welcome, and colleagues who work with us," said Joanna Kurowska, IHG's vice president and managing director for the U.K. and Ireland. "From innovating our brands and new hotel technology to the ever-increasing appeal and growth of our IHG One Rewards loyalty programme, we continuously look to deepen guest experiences and deliver more business to our hotels. "

In London, IHG will add the Holiday Inn Express London – Woolwich, expected to open in a converted five-story office building in the Royal Borough of Greenwich by late 2029. This property will feature 265 rooms and serve as a flagship for Holiday Inn Express in London. The opening will complement Voco London – Marylebone, which debuted last year with 93 guest rooms.
