Delta Air Lines has announced an expansion of its services at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, introducing a new nonstop route to Cancun, Mexico, and additional flights to Orlando. The airline disclosed this development in a post on X on February 28.
According to Delta, the seasonal nonstop service from Austin to Cancun will commence on December 20, 2025, and continue through mid-April 2026. This route will be operated daily using an Airbus A320, which offers First Class, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin seating.
Paul Baldoni, Delta’s Senior Vice President of Network Planning, said that the airline is "the leading global network carrier at Austin-Bergstrom," with nearly 60 peak-day departures during winter. Baldoni said that the Cancun route is part of Delta's strategy to provide "more popular leisure destinations" for travelers from Austin.
