Breeze Airways is marking a milestone in the continued growth of its route network. On Tuesday, the self-proclaimed “Seriously Nice” airline inked Key West, Florida, as its 70th destination.

Beginning this summer, Breeze will commence service to the island city from Orlando and Tampa. It comes as the airline is also planning to increase frequencies on another route within Florida.

Breeze announced the news early Tuesday, citing a continuation of “strong demand for its low-cost premium leisure model. ” Key West also becomes the carrier’s tenth destination in Florida – further complementing its presence in the Sunshine State.

The airline will launch the two new routes on June 12th, connecting Key West International Airport (EYW) to Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Tampa International Airport (TPA).

David Neeleman, Breeze's founder and CEO, spoke about the new service.

“We’re excited to extend our service within the Sunshine State with the addition of new service to Key West,” said Neeleman. “We’re confident this will be a very popular addition to Breeze’s national network and look forward to welcoming new and existing Guests to the area onboard an upcoming Breeze flight this summer. ”

Both routes will operate four times a week on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. One-way fares start under $50 and can be booked on Breeze’s website.
