On March 14, Airbus and AEGEAN jointly disclosed that the airline ordered eight A321neo aircraft, adding more A320neo family aircraft to its backlog. According to the carrier, this brings their total commitments to 58 aircraft.
Of these 58 planes, 34 have already been delivered, including one A320neo in 2025. Airbus is expected to deliver four more A320neo/A321neo aircraft within the year.
Furthermore, 37 of the committed planes will be the largest variants of the A320neo family, namely the A321neo. This includes four A321LR aircraft with extended range capabilities and newly designed passenger cabins configured for flights up to 7.5 hours.
