The Cessna Citation M2s (Model 525s) are a series of light private jets with a capacity of up to seven people. Launched in September 2011, the model is based on the original Citation CJ1 variant with improved engine thrust, a new cabin layout, and modern avionics systems.

The type commenced its first flight in March 2012 and was introduced into service a year later. By June 2020, Cessna, a Textron Aviation company, had sold over 250 examples of the M2s across multiple variants. The latest version of the M2 series, the M2 Gen 3, has an approximate list price of $6.8 million.

The Cessna Citation M2 Gen3 can seat up to eight people including the pilot in a spacious cabin powered by two Williams International FJ44 turbofan engines. It offers nearly15% greater cruise thrust and fuel efficiency than its predecessors with a maximum cruise speed of404 knots(748 km/h) and an operational range of1550 NM(2871 km).

The aircraft features a modern Garmin G3000 flight deck and avionics system designed for single-pilot operations which enhances safety according to Textron Aviation:
