Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 | Official Website

Alaska Airlines, part of the Alaska Air Group, maintains a substantial fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft alongside a recently acquired mixed fleet of Airbus and Boeing types through its purchase of Hawaiian Airlines. Additionally, the airline operates a small fleet of Embraer E175 regional jets via Horizon Air, marketed as "AlaskaHorizon. "

The Embraer E175s are relatively new with an average age of six years. Conversely, Alaska Airlines operates an aging fleet of 737 Next Generation aircraft with an average age exceeding 20 years. Many older planes have no set retirement date due to their specific roles within the airline.

Founded in 1932 by Linious McGee as McGee Airways, Alaska Airlines began its operations out of Anchorage's Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, serving both passenger and cargo needs exclusively within Alaska. The airline has undergone numerous mergers and acquisitions to expand its presence across Alaska, the US West Coast, and globally.
