The new variant is expected to play a pivotal role in expanding Wizz Air's longest routes by enabling longer flights while carrying more baggage and mitigating winter wind impacts.
From April to December 2025, there are fifteen notable long-haul routes:
- Milan Malpensa to Abu Dhabi: This brand-new route begins on June 2 and will operate daily using the Maltese unit's A321XLR.
- London Gatwick to Jeddah: Starting March 31 as a daily service by the UK unit on an A321XLR.
- London Gatwick to Medinah: Commencing August 1 as a daily service by the UK unit on an A321XLR.
- Vienna to Dubai: Winter seasonal twice-weekly flights by the Maltese unit on an A321neo.
- Vienna to Abu Dhabi: Up to daily year-round services by the Maltese unit on an A321neo.
- Warsaw Chopin to Tenerife South: Four departures at maximum block time of six hours and twenty minutes using Hungarian unit's A321neo.
- Bucharest Otopeni to Tenerife South: Three weekly year-round flights by the Maltese unit on an A321neo.
- London Luton to Hurghada: Three weekly winter-seasonal flights by the UK unit on an A321neo.
- Bucharest Otopeni to Gran Canaria: Resuming June17 with twice-weekly year- round services by Maltese unit's A32l neo
