Ethiopian Airlines has announced the launch of a new four-times-weekly passenger service to Hanoi, Vietnam, commencing on July 10, 2025. This move aims to bolster Ethiopian Airlines' global connectivity and offer convenient travel options for passengers journeying between Africa and Southeast Asia.

Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO, Mr. Mesfin Tasew said, “We are pleased to expand our presence in Southeast Asia and enhance air connectivity for our customers in the region. This new route will create opportunities for stronger ties and collaborations between Vietnam and our extensive global network. We look forward to bringing our renowned service to Vietnam and further growing our presence in this dynamic market. ”

The new flight is expected to serve as a crucial link between Addis Ababa, Ethiopian Airlines' hub, and Hanoi, catering to both business and leisure travelers. The service aims to promote trade, tourism, and cultural exchange between Vietnam and Ethiopia while facilitating connections to Ethiopian Airlines' vast network across Africa, Europe, and the Americas.
