Emirates has contributed to early education efforts in Pakistan by donating 107 'Aircrafted KIDS by Emirates' special edition bags to students at SOS Children’s Villages in Lahore. The donation, aimed at supporting children from rural areas, includes backpacks filled with stationery, books, and hygiene supplies. SOS Children’s Villages was chosen for its work in providing a nurturing environment for financially disadvantaged youths.

Mohammed Alhashmi, Vice President of Emirates in Pakistan, expressed satisfaction with the collaboration: “We are pleased to collaborate with organizations such as SOS Village that share our commitment to advancing UN Sustainable Development Goal No. 4 to ensure every child has access to quality education and gets a chance to learn, thrive and unlock their full potential."

The initiative also highlights Emirates' commitment to sustainability through the use of upcycled materials from their aircraft. Alhashmi added: “Donating the Aircrafted KIDS bags made with recycled materials and filled with essential stationary, learning and hygiene items will equip children with confidence and tools to make their everyday learning journey easier."

Saba Faisal, National Director of SOS Children’s Villages Pakistan, expressed gratitude for the support: “It was a pleasure to host the Emirates team, and we would like to thank them for supporting the educational development of our children... We are grateful for companies such as Emirates for their contribution towards the wellbeing of our students."

The backpacks were carefully selected by SOS Children’s Villages based on specific needs and were handmade using materials from refurbished A380 and B777 aircrafts. Alongside the bags, Emirates provided school supplies including pens, pencils, calculators, sanitizers, soaps, toothpastes, as well as culturally rich books designed for interactive learning.

This donation is part of a broader initiative under Emirates' Aircrafted program which aims to repurpose over 50,000 kg of materials from retired aircraft interiors. In addition to Pakistan's donation, similar contributions have been made in Bangladesh and India.
