As noted by Reuters in 2021, Airbus had not yet secured sufficiently low prices for many components of the A220 to make the project profitable. This situation has created a challenge for Airbus, as producing each new aircraft at high costs results in continued losses.

The question arises: should Airbus have avoided acquiring the CSeries? Is there any regret from Airbus regarding this acquisition? The pros and cons of Airbus' decision are examined.
