Nicholas E. Calio, CEO of Airlines for America, expressed support for President Trump's nomination of Bryan Bedford as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Administrator. Calio described the nomination as a "superb choice," citing Bedford's extensive aviation experience and commitment to safety, along with his leadership at Republic Airways.

"President Trump made a superb choice in nominating Bryan Bedford to be FAA Administrator," said E. Calio, President and CEO. "Mr. Bedford has decades of experience in aviation operations, and he leads with a commitment to safety above all else. He intimately understands the importance of a strong working relationship between the FAA and air space operators of all sizes. His leadership at Republic Airways has transformed the company into the flourishing operation it is today, supporting several of A4A's member carriers. We know Mr. Bedford will work closely with Secretary Duffy to transform America's aging air traffic control systems, including technology, infrastructure and staffing. We urge the Senate to expeditiously confirm his nomination."

According to Airlines for America (A4A), the organization congratulated Bedford on his nomination under Department of Transportation (DOT) Secretary Sean Duffy. A4A expressed eagerness to collaborate with Bedford to maintain aviation safety, highlighting that U.S. airlines operate over 26,000 flights daily, serving 2.6 million passengers and transporting 61,000 tons of cargo. The organization emphasized its commitment to working with Bedford and Duffy to ensure air travel remains safe.
