According to The Irish Times in January 2024, there has been significant growth in women’s rugby in both Ireland and Europe in recent years. A survey conducted in Ireland revealed rugby as the favorite sport among women, with 13% selecting it as their top choice, surpassing traditional sports like camogie and soccer. This surge in interest is particularly notable among women aged 18 to 24, with participation rates rising steadily.

The 2025 Guinness Women’s Six Nations is an annual rugby championship featuring six national teams: England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland, and Wales. As one of the premier competitions in women’s rugby, it showcases top-tier talent and fierce rivalries. The tournament typically runs from late March to April, with each team playing five matches in a round-robin format. This year, it is expected to draw significant global attention as teams compete for the coveted title.

Ireland’s Women’s Rugby Team represents the country in international rugby union competitions including this prestigious championship. Governed by the IRFU, the team has made significant strides in earning recognition for its competitive spirit and resilience. Ireland has won this championship twice—in 2013 and 2015—with notable victories over powerhouses like England and France.

Aer Lingus is Ireland's national airline founded in 1936 and a member of the International Airlines Group (IAG). Headquartered in Dublin, it operates a comprehensive network across Europe and North America. Known for its warm hospitality and quality service commitment, Aer Lingus offers both passenger and cargo services while proudly supporting Irish sports as an official partner of IRFU.
