Kansas City International Airport has introduced a new Escape Lounge in Concourse A, offering travelers an enhanced airport experience. The lounge is accessible to all passengers with an airline ticket for a fee of $29.95 per visit, and it can be pre-booked or accessed on the day of travel. Cancellations are allowed free of charge up to 24 hours before entry.

The lounge caters to families, allowing children aged 0 to 24 months free access. American Express Platinum Card and Delta SkyMiles Reserve Card holders enjoy complimentary entry when traveling on a Delta-marketed flight that day. Priority Pass members also receive free access.

Operating daily from 4:30 AM to 9 PM, the lounge provides complimentary food and drinks throughout the day, including gluten-free and vegan options. Additional amenities include high-speed WiFi, print services, and PressReader access.

The lounge's website states: "Lounge managers and staff have the right to refuse entry or to ask guests to leave at their own discretion. In such cases, a refund would not be offered."

Escape Lounge began in the UK and expanded into the US in 2015, now operating in 17 airports across the country with plans for further expansion at Tulsa International Airport (TUL), Portland International Airport (PDX), and Luis Muñoz Marín Airport (SJU) in Puerto Rico.

Entrance fees vary between $30 and $45 at different locations. Fort Lauderdale International Airport (FLL) hosts one of its most popular lounges in the US.

The company is also targeting Australia with upcoming lounges at Brisbane Airport (BNE) and Cairns Airport (CNS). In the UK, Escape Lounges are located at Manchester Airport's terminals, London Stansted Airport (STN), Bristol Airport (BRS), with new openings planned for Edinburgh Airport (EDI) in May 2025 and East Midlands Airport reopening in April 2025.
