Ranjan Goswami, Senior Vice President – Customer Experience Design | Delta Air Lines

Delta Air Lines has announced the launch of a new Centennial-themed trading card collection as part of its 100th-anniversary celebrations. This collection, featuring the airline's new Centennial colors and branding, aims to honor Delta's milestone as the first U.S. airline to reach a century in operation.

In response to the growing popularity of trading cards, Delta plans to produce over five million cards available from March 25. These will be distributed by pilots and include models such as the A220-300, 717, 737-800, A321NEO, 757-200, 767-300, A330-900, and A350. Customers flying with Delta Connection can receive CRJ-900 and E175 cards depending on their carrier.

Ryan Gumm, Senior Vice President of Flight Operations at Delta said: “Delta pilots have handed out millions of trading cards over the past 22 years, with over 3 million distributed in 2024 alone.” He added that this interaction between pilots and customers enhances the flight experience by creating meaningful connections.

Additionally, starting in April, customers can obtain two limited-edition Centennial livery trading cards through a commemorative gift set when purchasing a physical Delta gift card. The set is presented in attractive packaging suitable for gifting or personal keepsakes.

The history of Delta’s aircraft trading cards dates back to its first release in 2003 with an MD-11 card marking its retirement in 2004. Since then, seven series comprising 68 unique cards have been issued.

Passengers are encouraged to engage with pilots on their next flight to expand their trading card collections.
