Indianapolis International Airport has temporarily added a dinosaur exhibit to its Civic Plaza, featuring a 33-foot-long Tyrannosaurus rex cast known as "Bucky the T. rex." This installation celebrates the centennial of The Children's Museum of Indianapolis, which is recognized for its extensive collection and research on dinosaur fossils. Bucky will remain at the airport until April 11.

Salt Lake City International Airport recently unveiled an Allosaurus fragilis cast named "Ally the Allosaurus," gifted by the Natural History Museum of Utah. Ally, measuring 30 feet long and 15 feet tall, can be found at Concourse B's entrance. The real skull is displayed at Dinosaur National Monument in Utah.

Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport features five ice age skeletons along Concourse B through a partnership with the Cincinnati Museum Center. Among these are replicas of a mastodon and other prehistoric creatures like a saber-toothed tiger.

Chicago's O'Hare International Airport hosts a prominent fiberglass cast of a Brachiosaurus named "Ernestine" in Terminal 1. Originally part of Chicago's Field Museum display, Ernestine was relocated to make space for Sue, another notable T. rex skeleton.

Pittsburgh International Airport houses a life-size Tyrannosaurus rex cast from Pittsburgh's Carnegie Museum of Natural History on long-term loan since 2002. Travelers often leave small gifts near this popular exhibit.

Several American airports have discovered significant fossils during construction projects over the years. Dallas Fort Worth International Airport unearthed Plesiosaur bones in the early 1970s, now housed at Southern Methodist University for research purposes. Seattle-Tacoma International Airport workers found a giant ground sloth fossil in 1961, which is currently exhibited at Seattle's Burke Museum under the name "Gordy."

Denver International Airport incorporates dinosaur imagery into its art installations inspired by Colorado fossils.
