On March 5th, an Air India Boeing 777-300ER was forced to return to its origin airport due to a failure in most of its lavatories. Following the incident, images showing what caused the clogging have been circulated in the media.

An Air India spokesperson stated, "Since then, images of what clogged the system have been shared with media."

The situation unfolded when unexpected items were discovered in the lavatory systems, leading to their malfunction and necessitating the aircraft's diversion.
