Hawaiian Airlines is set to begin nonstop flights from Seattle to Seoul, South Korea, starting September 12, 2025. This new service is part of the Alaska Air Group's expansion strategy following its merger with Hawaiian Airlines last year. The flights will be operated using Airbus A330 aircraft and will initially run five times a week.
The timing of the launch coincides with Chuseok, also known as Korean Thanksgiving Day, a significant holiday in South Korea. The Alaska Air Group stated: "The new service between Seattle and Seoul Incheon will take flight just before the start of Chuseok... allowing travelers to visit with family and friends in South Korea with Hawaiian’s award-winning service and hospitality."
Hawaiian Airlines will join Asiana, Delta Air Lines, and Korean Air on this competitive route. Andrew Harrison, CCO of Alaska Airlines, expressed confidence in the new route: "With our robust network, we can connect our guests through our global gateway in Seattle for convenient nonstop service to Seoul and Tokyo... we’ll announce new international routes to dynamic destinations that we know our guests are going to love to visit."
