Jens Bischof Chairman of the Board of Management and Chief Executive Officer | Eurowings

Eurowings has announced the introduction of a new boarding concept effective 3 April 2025, aimed at improving the efficiency and customer experience at boarding gates. This adjustment comes as a response to customer feedback seeking a more optimized process. Under the new system, boarding will be divided into three groups based on the fare booked, instead of the current two groups. Moreover, travelers with small children will benefit from priority boarding, allowing them a less stressful experience. The existing boarding procedures will continue until 1 April 2025, with a transition day set for 2 April 2025. From 3 April 2025, the revised procedure will be implemented across all Eurowings flights, ensuring a smoother and more efficient boarding process.

In a related development, a consumer study conducted by the market research institute YouGov has placed Eurowings among the companies that have gained significant consumer favor over the past year. The study, which included assessments from about one million consumers collected through an online survey, highlighted an improvement in Eurowings' brand image with a score increase of 63.3, a rise of 3.9 points.

Meanwhile, Eurowings has also partnered with share for a campaign launched on UN World Water Day, which falls on 22 March 2025. This initiative involves selling share drinks onboard, with proceeds directed towards building water wells in Madagascar, Bangladesh, and Kenya. Each drink sold provides an individual with drinking water for a day, and the campaign aims to sell 220,000 drinks to enhance access to clean water in these regions.
