David Cotton, CEO of Flying Food Group, said that the company is committed to sustainability and is "implementing innovative solutions to reduce our environmental footprint." He made this statement in the company's 2024 Sustainability Information Guide.

"In 2024, sustainability was not just a corporate initiative, it was a large part of everything Flying Food Group achieved," said Cotton, CEO of Flying Food Group LLC. "At Flying Food Group, we recognize the impact our operations have on the environment, and we are fully committed to continuing to integrate sustainability into every aspect of our business. As a leading airline and retail food caterer, we acknowledge the challenges our industries face, from carbon emissions to waste generation. That's why we are actively implementing innovative solutions to reduce our environmental footprint, enhance operational efficiency, and contribute to a more sustainable future."

According to the report, Flying Food Group has made sustainability a core focus in 2024 by employing eco-friendly practices across all operations. The company diverted over 32.6 tons of organic waste from landfills using waste management technology, thereby reducing methane emissions. Through partnerships with global organizations, Flying Food Group recycled thousands of tons of materials while advocating for regulatory changes in waste management.

The report also indicates that the company upgraded its fleet with 13 low-carbon Ford 750 Gas catering trucks in 2024. "We have taken proactive steps to modernize our fleet by replacing outdated vehicles with energy-efficient alternatives, including propane catering trucks and hybrid minivans, reducing fuel consumption and emissions," said Cotton. The company plans to add 44 more low-emission catering trucks in 2025.

Additionally, the report states that the company transitioned 100% of its retail facilities to LED lighting, which has cut energy consumption and reduced its carbon footprint. Motion-activated lighting systems were installed across facilities to prevent unnecessary energy waste.

David Cotton serves as CEO of Flying Food Group LLC, according to its website.
