Choosing a hotel in New York City became more convenient for World of Hyatt loyalists with the transition of The James NoMad into Hotel Seville NoMad under Hyatt's Unbound Collection. The Madison Avenue property, near Madison Square Park and the Empire State Building, is undergoing a refresh to blend its 19th-century beaux arts architecture with modern design and amenities.

"Hotel Seville NoMad bridges New York's storied past and its elevated present, offering a dynamic destination where timeless elegance meets modern luxury," commented Tommasi Moccia, the hotel's general manager. The goal is to provide locals and visitors with an unforgettable experience in New York City.

Scarpetta, an Italian restaurant with global branches, remains a key feature of the hotel. The venue also features Il Bar, a new lobby bar by Thomas Juul-Hansen, offering cocktails and small bites. The hotel's speakeasy, The Seville, offers drinks, jazz, and DJ sets.

The hotel plans to update its 348 guest rooms and suites with a blue and gray color palette, vintage-style furniture, and new art. The refreshed lobby will feature residential-like elements, and GFI Hospitality, known for projects such as The Beekman and Ace Hotel New York, backs the hotel.

Recently acquired by Sonesta, The James brand was touted as "the prototype for future properties," marking a gain for Hyatt. Hotel Seville NoMad, a World of Hyatt Category 6 hotel, offers award stays starting at 21,000 points per night.
