Alaska Airlines has announced the inclusion of Fiji Airways as the latest member of the oneworld alliance. Fiji Airways, known as the flag carrier of Fiji and the broader South Pacific region, becomes the 14th full member of the alliance. The inclusion coincides with the fourth anniversary of Alaska Airlines joining oneworld in 2021.
Fiji Airways operates from its hub at Nadi International Airport, providing services to 25 destinations across 14 countries, including major oneworld hubs in Sydney, Hong Kong, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Tokyo. This membership allows travelers access to a seamless global travel network of over 900 destinations. Passengers can also benefit from smooth carrier transfers and the chance to earn and redeem miles across all partner airlines. Additionally, they receive access to nearly 700 airport lounges globally under the oneworld alliance.
The partnership with Fiji Airways enhances the redemption opportunities for Alaska Airlines' Mileage Plan members. Benefits extend to those with Alaska Airlines' elite status, automatically granting matching oneworld tier status, such as MVP Gold 100K and MVP Gold 75K members receiving oneworld Emerald status, and MVP Gold members being granted oneworld Sapphire tier.
