Emirates Airlines has announced the introduction of upgraded Boeing 777 cabins to eight additional destinations, aiming to enhance passenger experience across its network. The announcement was made on the social media platform X on March 26.

According to Emirates' official newsroom, the airline is undertaking a significant $3 billion retrofit program aimed at modernizing its fleet and maintaining its competitive edge in premium air travel. The project involves both Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 aircraft, featuring enhancements across all cabin classes, including upgraded seating and redesigned interiors. Emirates' goal is to deliver a consistent product experience for its global customer base, with the program expected to retrofit 120 aircraft by 2025.

As outlined by Time Out Dubai, Emirates will introduce its upgraded Boeing 777 cabins to Lisbon beginning June 1, followed by Dublin on June 25, Hong Kong on July 15, and Male on June 1 across multiple daily flights. Additionally, Kolkata, Colombo, Johannesburg, and Cape Town will join the network starting August 10. This expansion is part of Emirates’ phased retrofit deployment strategy designed to maximize aircraft availability while minimizing disruption to scheduled services.

According to Aviation A2Z, the retrofitted Boeing 777s now include Emirates’ new Premium Economy cabin, upgraded Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 layout, and refreshed First Class suites modeled after the airline’s A380 designs. Additional updates include new cabin lighting, wood accents, and improved in-flight entertainment systems. These enhancements are aimed at aligning the 777 experience with Emirates’ flagship A380 service, offering greater consistency across aircraft types.

As reported by Simple Flying, Emirates is the largest airline in the Middle East and was founded in 1985 by the Dubai government. Operating out of Dubai International Airport, the airline maintains a global network with over 150 destinations on six continents, utilizing a fleet composed primarily of Airbus A380s and Boeing 777s. Emirates is known for its premium service offerings, cutting-edge fleet investments, and status as one of the world’s most influential long-haul carriers.
