Air India has announced the introduction of new customized AI Groups for bookings of 10 or more people. The announcement was made on X on March 31.

According to Air India's official website, the AI Groups feature offers customized fare packages tailored to various group travel needs, including business, educational tours, and religious groups. This initiative aims to provide cost-effective solutions for groups traveling together, ensuring affordability and convenience. The platform's user-friendly interface allows group coordinators to manage bookings efficiently, enhancing the overall travel planning experience.

As reported by Reuters, Air India has committed $400 million to refurbish the interiors of over half its fleet, targeting 67 planes, including 27 narrowbody Airbus A320neo and 40 widebody Boeing 787s and 777s. This investment aims to modernize the airline's offerings, providing passengers with enhanced comfort and updated amenities. The refurbishment is part of Air India's broader transformation plan under the Tata Group's ownership.

According to a press release from Air India, the airline has launched an AI-driven feature called eZ Booking. This feature enables customers to complete reservations on its website more efficiently by using text or voice inputs to specify travel itineraries. This innovation streamlines the booking process, reducing the need for navigating multiple screens and enhancing user convenience. The feature reflects Air India's commitment to leveraging technology to improve customer experience.

As detailed in Air India's press release, the airline has unveiled a comprehensive transformation plan named Vihaan.AI. The plan aims to establish itself as a world-class global airline over the next five years by focusing on expanding the network and fleet, revamping customer propositions, and improving reliability and on-time performance. This strategic roadmap underscores Air India's commitment to sustained growth and market leadership.
