Hainan Airlines announced that its Beijing–Oslo flight HU769 landed successfully in Norway. The announcement was made on X on March 28.

According to Xinhua News Agency, Hainan Airlines launched its first direct flight route between Beijing and Oslo on March 22, 2025, enhancing air connectivity between China and Northern Europe. Flight HU769 departed Beijing Capital International Airport and arrived at Oslo Gardermoen International Airport at 5:02 a.m. local time. A welcome ceremony was held at the airport to commemorate the inaugural flight.

As reported by Scandasia, the inaugural flight HU769 departed Beijing at 1:30 a.m. Beijing time on March 22, 2025, and landed in Oslo at 5:02 a.m. local time, resulting in a flight duration of approximately 10 hours and 32 minutes. This direct connection significantly reduces travel time between the two capitals. The route is scheduled to operate three times weekly, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

According to the Avinor Group, Hainan Airlines will utilize Airbus A330-300 aircraft for this route, accommodating 292 passengers with 32 business class seats and 260 economy class seats. The seasonal service will continue until October 25, 2025. This resumption is expected to bolster Norwegian tourism and facilitate the export of seafood to China.
