A recent United Airlines flight experienced an unusual incident of water pouring from the ceiling, which is not a common occurrence on airplanes. While smoke or burning smells are occasionally reported, such water leaks are rare. This unexpected situation took place on a flight from San Francisco to Tokyo. As a result, the crew made the decision to turn the aircraft around and return to San Francisco International Airport (SFO).

The flight, operated by a United Airlines Boeing 777, had to be diverted back to its departure point to address the issue. Details on what caused the water leak have not yet been provided.
