United Airlines has added Adelaide as its latest destination, joining its growing list of long-haul flights and marking the company's third-longest nonstop service. This move reflects United's strong presence in international travel, with connections spanning Europe, Asia, and Australasia.
On April 2, United announced its plans to start flights to Adelaide from its San Francisco hub, making it the first North American flights to the South Australian capital. The Adelaide route joins existing flights to Auckland, Brisbane, Christchurch, Melbourne, and Sydney.
"United Airlines has more long-haul flights from the US than any other carrier," the company stated, highlighting its expansion strategy. The addition of Adelaide has also prompted a reshuffle in United's longest routes.
