Air France is among the largest operators of the Airbus A350. The airline's longest non-stop route on the A350-900 spans 7,239 miles from Paris Charles de Gaulle to Santiago, Chile. "Your Paris - Kinshasa trip includes a stop in Brazzaville, Congo Brazzaville, for 1h30m. Please check the entry requirements for this country." - Air France. The airline also operates the shortest scheduled Airbus A350 route, covering only 16 miles across a river. According to Cirium, these are Air France’s longest flights scheduled for April 2025.

All long-haul flights using the Airbus A350-900 originate from Paris Charles de Gaulle. These include routes to Buenos Aires, Santiago, and São Paulo. Other destinations with significant distance are Manila, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Services to Capetown stand out as Air France's first African long-distance destination. Air France also offers numerous flights over 5,000 miles to North America, with Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Mexico City standing out. "The decision will see AFKLMP reduce its A350F order from eight aircraft to six...The order for the two remaining A350Fs will now be replaced by two Airbus A350-900 passenger aircraft. These A350-900 passenger aircraft will come in addition to the Group’s existing order for 50 A350 aircraft, placed in September 2023." - Air Cargo News.

Air France plans to expand its A350 fleet, sharing with the Air France-KLM group. While previous orders included the -900 variant, new futures might involve a mix with the -1000 version. The latest additions are already part of an inventory of 37 Airbus A350-900s. The Airbus A350 has achieved 99.5% operational reliability in a short period and offers a maximum capacity of 440 seats, depending on configuration. "The A350 is the only large widebody aircraft capable of serving all major markets, making it ideal for long-haul routes like New York to Singapore, Auckland to Doha, and soon, Sydney to London. Within just two years of entering service, the A350 has achieved a record operational reliability of 99.5%." - Airbus. The A350 family, with two main versions, is optimal for diverse travel distances and passenger capacities, standing out as a versatile option in global aviation.
