The Gulfstream G700 and Bombardier Global 7500 are two leading models in the ultra-long-range business jet category. These aircraft cater to a market of high-demand clients who seek speed, luxury, and advanced technology in their air travel.

Bombardier Global 7500 launched originally as the Global 7000 in 2010, later rebranded with extended range capabilities. "The Global 7500 jet has proven itself as the industry’s flagship,” says Éric Martel, President and CEO of Bombardier, emphasizing its performance and cabin experience. The aircraft received certification from Transport Canada, FAA, and EASA between 2018 and 2019. It boasts a range of 7,700 nautical miles at Mach 0.85 and a top speed of Mach 0.93, equipped with GE Passport engines.

The Gulfstream G700, introduced in 2019, followed with its own enhanced features, increasing range and cabin space compared to its precursor, the G650ER. Mark Burns, President of Gulfstream Aerospace, notes, “The G700 brings together the best of what we do—performance, comfort, and innovation.” The aircraft completed over 4,000 flight test hours before receiving certifications from FAA and EASA in 2024. It offers a 7,500 nautical mile range at Mach 0.85, powered by Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines, with the longest cabin in its class.

Both jets target similar customers, such as global corporations and affluent individuals. The Bombardier Global 7500 has a slight range advantage, enabling non-stop flights on extensive routes like Singapore to Tucson, demonstrating capabilities beyond official specifications. The Gulfstream G700 provides better fuel efficiency and high-speed performance, sustaining near-maximum range while cruising faster.

Avionics systems in both models reflect cutting-edge technology. The Bombardier Global 7500’s Vision Flight Deck incorporates advanced systems for safety and pilot efficiency. The Gulfstream G700’s Symmetry Flight Deck includes industry-first active control sidesticks, enhancing coordination and safety.

Cabin amenities differ in style and focus. The Bombardier Global 7500 uses the Soleil lighting system and tailored seating to improve passenger comfort and well-being. It features four cabin zones with options for private living quarters. The Gulfstream G700 offers a longer cabin and up to five living areas, designed for customization and comfort, with advanced light and pressure systems to mitigate flight fatigue.

Ultimately, both the Gulfstream G700 and Bombardier Global 7500 represent the forefront of private aviation, providing exceptional comfort, range, and technological innovation.
